Home Ministry Will Supervise Papua New Autonomy Region for Three Years

The three new Papua provinces, namely South Papua, Central Papua, and Papua Mountains, will be fostered by the central government until their administration is effective. The central government will foster the three provinces for 3 years since they were inaugurated. The DPR has ratified the 3 Bills on the Formation of the New Autonomous Region (DOB) of Papua into Laws on Thursday (30/6). The inauguration of the Provinces of South Papua, Central Papua, and Papua Mountains must be carried out no later than 6 months from the date of promulgation, or December 2022 at the latest.
